RCM- Insurance Collection Specialist (aging and denials)

Background

Deep Centered Mental Health is a psychotherapy practice in Texas that provides a wide range of psychological services through a team of more than 200 clinicians. In order to keep our clinical work running smoothly, we need experts who can scrupulously help us ensure the accuracy of all things related to our billing. We are looking for someone who is passionate about mental health care and can help meet some of the unmet billing management needs of our growing practice.

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced RCM Specialists with a strong background in insurance processes in relation to denials, appeals, claim checks, claim corrections, rejections, refund request

Key Responsibilities:

• Claim Aging Checks: reviewing aging reports, working outstanding AR greater then 35 days, reviewing denials and rejections
• Collections: Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable. Implement collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts and improve cash flow. Work aging reports focusing on 60/90/120 claims.
• Appeals and Escalations: completing level one and two appeals. Submitting claim reconsiderations, calling and investigating denials.
• Monitoring Denial Trends
• Data Entry and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of payments, and patient accounts. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to insurance providers, addressing any issues or concerns related to billing and collections.
• Ability to think outside the box, working rejections and denials. Research coding and billing rules related to the mental health industry.
• Payment Posting Experience a plus.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in revenue cycle management, insurance claims processing, working and resolving denials, high demand and fast pace environment.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
• Skills: Advance MD experience is a plus! And mental health experience is a plus
• Proficiency in RCM software and Google Suite.
• Strong understanding of insurance policies, billing practices, and collections processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
