Respected mid-sized Pittsburgh law firm seeks an associate with 3-7 years of experience to join team focused on consumer protection issues such as consumer fraud, unfair insurance practices, deceptive banking/lending practices, ERISA/employee benefits, Wage and Hour matters and related practice areas. Clients include executives, professionals, employees, unions, consumers, school districts, teachers, students and others in a variety of consumer affairs, education and civil rights class action cases.

Candidates should have exceptional research and writing skills, familiarity with some or all of the substantive areas above, hands-on practice experience and PA bar admission. Position demands the ability to engage deeply in sophisticated subject matter and prepare high-quality briefs, motions and complaints. Importantly, the firm appreciates a creative intellectual approach and is interested in candidates willing to think “outside the box” and participate as key members of their litigation and counseling teams.

In addition to appellate clerks, candidates with a defense background who bring a strong interest to protecting the rights of employees, retirees, consumers, investors and families are welcome.

The firm’s practice is national: NY, CA or other bar admissions are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
