JOB TITLE: Reverse Logistics Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Reverse Logistics Supervisor at Homewise Appliance is responsible for overseeing all return-related operations and logistics coordination at the Product Distribution Center (PDC). This includes managing merchandise returns from stores, customers, vendors, and delivery teams, as well as monitoring delivery routes, auditing fulfillment reports, and partnering with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to resolve issues. The Supervisor ensures all returned products are processed accurately and efficiently while supporting inventory integrity and reducing shrink.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reverse Logistics Oversight:
- Supervise daily operations of the Reverse Logistics team, ensuring timely inspection and processing of returned, refused, or exchanged merchandise.
- Determine proper disposition for each return: restock, vendor return, damage, scrap, or customer-used.
- Maintain proper documentation in ERP systems and ensure physical labeling and organization of returned inventory.
- Work directly with vendors and manufacturers to secure RMAs, track credits, and coordinate return pickups.
- Ensure proper handling and accountability for high-value or repeat-return merchandise.
Logistics Coordination & Reporting:
- Monitor delivery routes via DispatchTrack or relevant systems to track trends in refusals, damages, and missed deliveries.
- Audit the fulfillment report daily to confirm delivery completion, return capture, and to identify exceptions.
- Partner with 3PLs and delivery contractors to resolve return issues, investigate claims, and ensure reverse pickups are executed.
- Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders (Customer Service, Store Teams, Transfers) to support efficient reverse routing and return processing.
- Analyze recurring return patterns and work with leadership to improve routing or product handling issues.
Leadership & Process Improvement:
- Train and lead the Reverse Logistics team in safe and efficient return handling practices.
- Schedule and assign daily return zone tasks to ensure a clean, organized, and compliant workspace.
- Generate weekly/monthly reports on return volume, fulfillment discrepancies, vendor credits, and 3PL performance.
- Collaborate with Inventory, Receiving, and Loss Prevention teams to resolve discrepancies and support internal audits.
- Participate in process reviews and help implement changes to reduce return volume and operational delays.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2–4 years of warehouse, reverse logistics, or inventory experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, DispatchTrack, and fulfillment reporting tools.
- Experience working with 3PLs and delivery routing platforms.
- Strong organizational, communication, and data analysis skills.
- Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and enforce return processing standards.
- Able to lift and handle up to 75 lbs with assistance.
- High attention to detail, especially in high-volume and fast-paced environments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and walking throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in warehouse conditions (non-climate-controlled, indoors/outdoors).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is based at the PDC and reports directly to the Reverse Logistics Manager. It requires daily collaboration with delivery teams, warehouse associates, inventory control, store operations, and external logistics providers. The Reverse Logistics Supervisor is a key contributor in maintaining clean return flows, accurate fulfillment records, and improving the company’s overall logistical efficiency.
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
