Drive business development and expand RMS Energy's capabilities in advanced power system technologies by building strong relationships with utilities, developers, OEMs, EPC firms, ISOs/RTOs, and other industry stakeholders.
Serve as the technical authority for advanced transmission technologies, supporting the planning, design, integration, and performance of HVDC, FACTS, inverter-based resources, and other grid modernization initiatives.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of power systems engineers, fostering technical excellence and developing expertise in EMT modeling, converter-based technologies, and advanced system analysis.
Ensure operational excellence across project execution, technical quality, resource planning, client satisfaction, and financial performance.
Collaborate with executive leadership to define the long-term vision for the Power Systems Engineering practice, identify emerging market opportunities, and support organizational growth.
Represent RMS Energy as a technical leader in client engagements, industry conferences, standards committees, and strategic partnerships, promoting innovation and thought leadership in advanced power system technologies.
Experience We’re Looking For:
8–14 years of related experience in power system studies or engineering consulting
Demonstrated leadership in managing technical teams and project pipelines
Strong interpersonal skills and organizational abilities
Skilled in power system simulation software and Excel-based analysis

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineering license preferred, but not required
Additional Requirements:

Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
Must be willing to travel up to 20% for client visits or team meetings
Comfortable working flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends
Bonus Points For:

Experience working with Electromagnetic Transients (EMT) and harmonic studies
Past success scaling a consulting business or managing a P&L
Hands-on leadership in cross-border consulting teams (U.S./Canada)
Familiarity with utility interconnection processes or energy market modeling
Prior mentorship experience across both technical and business development areas
