Responsibilities

• Safely operate school buses, motor coaches, shuttle buses, and paratransit vehicles to transport students along designated routes
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, mechanical functionality, and cleanliness before each trip
• Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure passenger safety at all times
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and dispatchers to coordinate pickups and drop-offs
• Maintain a professional demeanor, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all passengers
• Respond promptly to any roadside issues or emergencies by following established procedures and communicating with relevant authorities
• Keep accurate logs of routes, mileage, maintenance needs, and incident reports as required

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for school bus operation (e.g., passenger endorsement)
• Proven experience in bus driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driver roles with a focus on safety and customer service
• Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
• Knowledge of paratransit operations or motor coach driving is a plus
• Strong communication skills in English to interact clearly with students, parents, and team members
• Ability to handle routine maintenance tasks or identify when professional repairs are needed
• Prior experience in limousine or <PERSON> driver roles is advantageous but not required
• Excellent driving record with no recent violations or accidents; familiarity with bus driving regulations and safety standards
