Staff Project Engineer – Civil / Site & Land Development

$82,000 – $105,000 base + OT + EOY bonus + Full benefits

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a well-established national engineering firm seeking a Project Engineer (2–7 years experience) to support their growing presence in the DC Metro area.

This is an opportunity to join a firm with national resources, strong project backlog, and long-term stability, while working on a diverse mix of private development, public/municipal, and select international projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and support site/civil land development projects from concept through construction
• Prepare grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater management plans
• Assist with permitting and entitlement processes across DC, VA, and MD
• Contribute to projects including: Higher Education, Residential (single-family & multifamily), Commercial & Mixed-Use, Public/Municipal & International Work

What We’re Looking For

• 2–7 years of experience in civil/site land development
• Experience with:
• AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Grading, drainage, and utility design
• Stormwater management systems
• Familiarity with local jurisdictions (DC / Northern VA / MD) preferred
• EIT preferred; PE (Professional Engineer) a plus
• Strong communication and coordination skills
