Position Overview
Resolute Management Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Military Exercise Integrator to support the Michigan Army National Guard’s Northern Strike Plans Group.
This part-time role supports Mortuary Affairs and Fatality Management planning, scenario development, coordination, exercise execution, and after-action reporting across the Joint Exercise Life Cycle.
This is not an administrative coordinator role. The ideal candidate is a seasoned Army, Joint, National Guard, sustainment, logistics, casualty operations, Mortuary Affairs, or exercise planning professional who can work credibly with military planners, participating units, Government leadership, and exercise control personnel.

Travel: Approximately 15 trips per year, including Camp Grayling and other exercise locations

Role Summary
The Senior Military Exercise Integrator will help plan and integrate Mortuary Affairs and Fatality Management activities into the Northern Strike exercise environment.
The role supports planning gates, working groups, synchronization meetings, scenario development, exercise execution, and after-action activities. During execution, the candidate will help receive, organize, track, and present Mortuary Affairs and Fatality Management support requests, injects, and issues for Government review and approval.
The goal is to ensure training objectives are realistic, doctrinally sound, synchronized with the exercise plan, and executable during large-scale combat operations training.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Mortuary Affairs and Fatality Management subject matter expertise to the Northern Strike Plans Group.
- Support development and synchronization of exercise scenarios, injects, training objectives, support requests, and execution products.
- Coordinate with Army, Joint, National Guard, multinational, interagency, special operations, conventional force, and non-governmental stakeholders.
- Advise planners on operational realism, doctrinal accuracy, scenario changes, and training value.
- Support planning for remains collection, processing, transportation, storage, temporary interment, repatriation, final disposition, and contaminated remains operations.
- Participate in Joint Exercise Life Cycle events, working groups, planning conferences, synchronization meetings, rehearsals, execution periods, and after-action activities.
- Support exercise control operations by tracking issues, coordinating requests, assisting with deconfliction, and supporting Government decision-making.
- Capture lessons learned, best practices, training gaps, doctrinal issues, and after-action inputs.
- Prepare planning products, meeting inputs, briefings, coordination logs, status updates, execution trackers, and required deliverables.
- Maintain accurate records of hours worked, task status, coordination actions, and monthly reporting inputs.
Required Qualifications
- 15–20 years of relevant military, Joint, National Guard, sustainment, logistics, casualty operations, Mortuary Affairs, Fatality Management, or exercise planning experience.
- Experience supporting military exercises, Joint Exercise Life Cycle events, working groups, planning conferences, EXCON operations, or large-scale training events.
- Experience with Mortuary Affairs, Fatality Management, casualty operations, sustainment operations, logistics planning, or related military support functions.
- Knowledge of Army and Joint planning processes, including MDMP, JOPP, Mission Command, Joint logistics, and exercise planning.
- Ability to integrate functional requirements into exercise plans, execution matrices, MSELs, training objectives, scenario timelines, or similar planning products.
- Strong written communication, briefing, facilitation, coordination, and planning documentation skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Lansing, Michigan, during required mission periods and travel to Camp Grayling and other locations as needed.
- Ability to operate in a secure military environment and comply with installation access, CAC, background screening, OPSEC, information assurance, antiterrorism, TARP, PII, and local security requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Former Army Officer, Warrant Officer, Senior NCO, National Guard planner, sustainment planner, logistics planner, casualty operations professional, or 92M Mortuary Affairs professional.
- Prior experience supporting Northern Strike, JNTC-accredited events, HQDA-sponsored exercises, NGB-managed exercises, Combined Arms Live Fire Exercises, Warfighter exercises, CPX, FTX, XCTC, or similar Joint/National Guard training events.
- Experience developing or synchronizing exercise injects, support requests, execution matrices, MSEL products, scenario timelines, training objectives, or EXCON products.
- Familiarity with DoDD 1300.22, DoDI 1300.29, JP 4-0, JP 5-0, ATP/MTTP 4-46, AR 638-2, and related Mortuary Affairs, Fatality Management, casualty operations, sustainment, or Joint planning publications.
- Experience supporting Government contract environments, status reporting, deliverables, quality control expectations, and performance-based service requirements.
- Active Secret clearance.
Ideal Candidate
The strongest candidate is a credible military planning professional who understands the sensitivity of Mortuary Affairs and the discipline required to integrate realistic Fatality Management training into a complex Joint exercise environment.
This person should be able to work independently, engage senior stakeholders, translate doctrine into executable training events, and support Government decision-making during both planning and exercise execution.
Compensation
Estimated W-2 hourly range: $58–$70 per hour, depending on experience, clearance status, location, availability, and direct relevance to the requirement.
Travel will be handled in accordance with contract requirements and applicable Government travel guidance.
