The Senior Electrical Project Manager oversees the full lifecycle of large‑scale electrical construction projects, including Federal and VA hospital projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to all compliance standards. This role serves as the primary liaison between clients, field leadership, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning — Develop schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and procurement strategies for commercial, industrial, and VA healthcare projects.
• Project Execution — Lead daily operations, coordinate with field teams, and ensure adherence to VA construction protocols.
• Financial Management — Track budgets, manage cost controls, and forecast financial performance.
• Client & Stakeholder Communication — Maintain strong relationships with clients, VA representatives, inspectors, and design teams.
• Team Leadership — Mentor junior PMs, support foremen and superintendents, and ensure alignment across teams.
• Safety & Compliance — Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, VA construction standards, infection control requirements (ICRA), and all project documentation.
• Change Management — Review, negotiate, and process change orders, including federal documentation requirements.
• Closeout — Oversee punch lists, commissioning, VA turnover packages, and final documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Electrical Construction Experience — 7–10+ years in electrical contracting, with at least 3 years in project management.
• VA Hospital Project Experience — Demonstrated experience managing electrical scopes within VA hospitals or federal facilities, including familiarity with VA specifications, security requirements, and infection control protocols.
• Technical Knowledge — Strong understanding of NEC, electrical systems, installation methods, and healthcare‑grade systems.
• Project Management Skills — Proven ability to manage multi‑million‑dollar projects.
• Software Proficiency — Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, accubid, MS, excel or similar platforms.
• Leadership & Communication — Ability to lead teams and coordinate stakeholders.

Education & Credentials

• Bachelor’s Degree — Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• PMP or Equivalent Certification — Preferred but not required
• Equivalent Experience — Considered in place of formal degree
• Journeyman License — Preferred but not required
