Position Summary:
The Microsoft Dynamics Technical Lead – Systems & Architecture drives the technical strategy, architectural design, delivery, and ongoing optimization of the organization’s enterprise business systems. This is a highly technical, hands-on architectural role serving as the primary bridge between complex business requirements and scalable technology solutions.
Note on Team Structure: While this role acts as the ultimate technical authority for our enterprise systems estate, it focuses entirely on technical and architectural leadership rather than direct people management. Exceptional technical proficiency, hands-on development capabilities, and system design expertise are prioritized over traditional soft-skill management.
Essential Job Functions: Enterprise Business Architecture & Strategy:
Act as the primary technical owner of the enterprise business systems architecture, ensuring absolute alignment between business strategy, data integrity, and technology.
Translate complex business objectives into structured technical roadmaps, architectural decisions, and prioritized execution phases.
Guide technical discovery, data mapping, and capability assessments to identify immediate opportunities for platform optimization and automated workflows.
Provide deep technical thought leadership regarding digital transformation and maximization of the Microsoft ecosystem.
Own the end-to-end technical lifecycle of assigned enterprise applications, heavily focusing on Dynamics 365 CRM/XRM, ERP (Great Plains/GP), SharePoint/ECM, and the Power Platform.
Oversee major system upgrades, platform patches, and critical releases, ensuring flawless testing protocols, environment code-promotions, and deployment readiness.
Serve as the ultimate technical escalation point for complex system anomalies, integration failures, and environment risks.
Ensure all enterprise platforms are stable, secure, patched, compliant, and strictly aligned with enterprise security standards.
Hands-on Configuration & Technical Oversight
Provide rigorous architectural and technical oversight for system configurations, customizations, API integrations, and downstream reporting.
Ensure quality execution and code review for:
CRM Configurations: Complex workflows, validation rules, security roles, business units, and advanced automation.
Custom Development: Custom C#/.NET plugins, web resources, JavaScript extensions, and cloud integrations.
Data Flows: Integration strategies across disparate enterprise systems to ensure reliable, high-performing data pipelines.
Review and approve all solution designs, validating them for long-term scalability, clean maintainability, and architectural discipline.
Required Education & Experience
6–8+ years of dedicated experience supporting, configuring, and architecting enterprise business systems, with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365.
3+ years operating in a Technical Lead, Solutions Architect, or Senior Systems Engineering capacity overseeing enterprise-grade application architectures.
Deep Hands-on Technical Stack Proficiency:
Dynamics 365 CRM/XRM advanced administration, schema customization, and solution management.
Strong database foundations using SQL Server / T-SQL (stored procedures, views, indexing).
Core reporting and analytics development using Power BI and SSRS.
Proven experience partnering directly with business stakeholders to translate functional business rules into highly scalable, customized technical code and configurations.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% to corporate headquarters in Peachtree City, GA, as required for strategic technical alignment sessions.

Active Microsoft Dynamics certifications (e.g., Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant, Developer, or Solution Architect tracks).
Technical experience integrating or migrating legacy ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP), SharePoint, and advanced Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate).
Functional knowledge of accounting, finance, or supply chain business processes.
