Senior Process Engineer/Scientist

Location: San Jose, California, USA

The Senior Process Engineer/Scientist is responsible for leading the development and analysis of new and existing fabrication processes for thin film materials and solar cells.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Material Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or another applicable field. Master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
• Experience with semiconductor-related processes and equipment.
• Hands-on experience with process and equipment engineering/development for the manufacturing of thin film photovoltaic modules.
• Experience working with material and device characterization techniques for thin film materials and devices (e.g. SEM, XRD, I-V measurements, and more).
• Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to approach challenging projects innovatively and collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective data-driven experiments to deliver upon milestones such as high cell efficiency and high module performance.
• Lead the development of new and existing thin film fabrication processes and device structures to create high-quality modules.
• Collect, summarize, and analyze data, observations, and findings from process development projects.
• Lead, design, plan, monitor, and/or execute new and existing process development projects, achieving the objectives of these projects within company timelines.
• Support equipment, hardware, and device design, development, engineering, troubleshooting, and/or maintenance.
• Develop innovative procedures for process control to achieve and maintain high quality materials and high efficiency devices.
• Comply with our safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
