2. High Net Worth Individuals - We also help our clients who may not necessarily own a business but want to find ways to grow their wealth and understand how to properly navigate their taxes

3. Our Team Members - We have over 25 full-time team members who we need to keep up to date on all tax legislation changes and provide helpful insight to our clients.

Role Overview

At RainwaterCPA, we're looking for a Sr Tax Associate member to join our fast-growing, professional services team. This isn't your average tax job – we're all about being proactive and strategic, not just pushing papers.

In this role, you'll be diving deep into the world of tax planning and implementation. We're talking about working with business owners and high net-worth individuals, helping them not just save money on taxes, but build a stronger financial future. It's about seeing the big picture and making a real impact.

Your days will be filled with variety and challenges. You'll be crunching numbers, sure, but also putting on your detective hat to research tax laws and regulations. We need someone who can spot the details that others miss, someone who gets a thrill from finding the perfect tax strategy.

You'll be juggling multiple client accounts, adapting on the fly, and thriving under the pressure of tight deadlines – especially when tax season hits. But don't worry, you won't be going it alone. You'll be part of a team that values collaboration.

We're looking for someone who can think critically and analyze complex financial information. When you present your findings, whether to team leaders or clients, we need you to be clear, concise, and confident in your recommendations.

What You’ll Do

● Train and become a tax planning advisor helping walk clients through different strategies that may help them make smarter tax and financial decisions.

● Prepare and review year-end tax returns for your portfolio of business clients and high-net-worth individuals.

● Prepare and present tax planning kickoff calls, implementation calls and quarterly calls engaging the clients with their tax questions throughout the year.

● Prepare tax entries for client’s and spot potential tax errors

● Keep up to date with the latest tax legislation changes and IRS pronouncements as they become available.

● Spend time researching strategies that may apply to clients to help keep up to date with the evolving tax industry.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

● 3+ years of working in public accounting on taxes for individuals and business owners

● Must be a licensed tax preparer, EA, or CPA

● Minimum of 1-3 years in a client facing role

● Strong problem solving and interpersonal communication skills

● Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with the desire for continuous improvement

● Advanced spreadsheet skills

● Willingness and ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.

● Maintain an ego-free environment to help focus on solving the problem and developing solutions that will work for the long term.

● Ability to work on multiple projects at once, while meeting or exceeding tight deadlines.
