About the Role
We are looking for a highly autonomous, senior-level engineer to own and evolve our business systems integration ecosystem. This role is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and improving integrations that connect critical operational systems across the business.
This is not a narrowly scoped development role. The right candidate will operate as a systems owner — balancing technical execution, operational reliability, project coordination, and business collaboration.
Success in this role requires strong self-management, accountability, communication, and follow-through in a fully remote environment.
You will work closely with stakeholders across operations, finance, logistics, and leadership to deliver reliable solutions that improve efficiency and scale with the business.
What You'll Own
- Design, build, maintain, and improve integrations between NetSuite, APIs, middleware platforms, Azure services, and operational systems.
- Own integration reliability, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across critical business workflows.
- Develop and maintain API-based solutions using REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, and middleware tooling.
- Work within and improve existing architecture standards and processes without unnecessarily replacing stable systems.
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify ambiguity, establish priorities, and deliver solutions.
- Manage integration-related projects from discovery through implementation and support.
- Maintain technical documentation and integration visibility across systems.
- Participate in operational troubleshooting and issue resolution when needed.
- Help shape long-term integration strategy as the environment continues to scale.
Technologies & Platforms
Experience with some or most of the following is strongly preferred:
- NetSuite
- Celigo Integrator.io
- GoAnywhere
- Azure API Services / Azure Functions
- REST APIs / JSON / OAuth
- SQL
- JavaScript and/or Python
- Middleware and integration platforms
- Operational ERP integrations
What We're Looking For
Required
- 5+ years of experience in systems integration, middleware engineering, API development, or business systems engineering.
- Direct hands-on experience building and supporting API integrations.
- Experience owning projects and operational processes with minimal oversight.
- Strong troubleshooting and systems thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate proactively and clearly across technical and non-technical teams.
- Proven ability to self-manage effectively in a remote work environment.
Highly Valued Traits
The ideal candidate:
- Takes initiative without waiting for direction.
- Communicates early and clearly when blocked.
- Drives projects across the finish line.
- Stays engaged and visible while working remotely.
- Seeks to deeply understand business operations before proposing solutions.
- Improves systems thoughtfully rather than rebuilding unnecessarily.
- Uses AI and modern tooling responsibly to accelerate execution while maintaining strong technical understanding and accountability.
Important Notes About the Role
This is a high-trust, high-autonomy position. We are looking for someone who takes ownership naturally and does not require constant oversight to remain productive, engaged, or aligned.
The environment already contains stable integrations, workflows, and operational processes. Success in this role requires learning the existing ecosystem thoroughly before making architectural changes.
This role will eventually become the primary owner of the company’s integration environment.
Growth Opportunity
This position is expected to evolve into a lead integration and systems ownership role with increasing architectural responsibility over time.
