B. Position Overview

• Role Summary: We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated Automotive General Service Helper to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in Subaru service operations, providing critical support to our service advisors, parts specialists, lead technicians, and executive team.

C. Duties & Responsibilities

• Front-of-House & Customer Support:
• Assist the service advising team by answering incoming calls, checking in client vehicles, and scheduling service appointments.
• Manage basic customer inquiries and deliver professional, courteous customer service at all times.
• Parts & Inventory Logistics:
• Transport vehicles between shop facilities, pick up parts from vendors, and handle customer shuttle runs safely.
• Unload, check in, and stock daily parts shipments; manage core returns and organize inventory shelf space.
• Deliver components to technicians and monitor inventory levels of bulk fluids, shop chemicals, and shop supplies.
• Shop & Back-of-House Operations:
• Maintain a safe, efficient workshop by cleaning service bays, servicing equipment, emptying trash, and organizing shop tooling.
• Assist technicians with heavy component lifting, parts washing, and multi-person repair tasks.
• Perform exterior vehicle washes and basic interior detailing on customer vehicles prior to delivery.
• Facility Maintenance & Environmental Safety:
• Execute daily facility maintenance, including parking lot upkeep, trash removal, window cleaning, and restroom sanitation.
• Perform seasonal groundskeeping, including mandatory snow removal and ice mitigation to maintain safe customer and employee walkways.
• Enforce all shop safety protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and OSHA compliance standards.

D. Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience & Technical Aptitude:
• Prior automotive shop or dealership experience is preferred, but we will fully train motivated candidates.
• Demonstrated familiarity with basic shop safety practices and proper tool handling is required.
• Physical & Environmental Demands:
• Ability to safely perform heavy physical lifting (up to 75 lbs unassisted) and stand, bend, or move for extended periods.
• Capability to work comfortably in varying shop environments, including hot, cold, and dirty conditions, while maintaining clean personal standards.
• Operational & Interpersonal Skills:
• Strong multi-tasking ability and focus in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills for daily interaction with clients and colleagues.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
