This is an off-shift position at the Belden Distribution Center.
Job Summary:
Utilizes Distribution Center computer system (DCMS), BPCS, Fax’s, and other written and/or verbal instructions to perform job tasks. Power truck mounted radio frequency terminals and desk top computers are utilized to access DCMS and BPCS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Utilizes all Distribution material handling, rewinding, and packaging equipment.
2. Responsible for accurately receiving, storing, and moving of material in the Distribution Center to the point of shipment for customer’s orders.
3. Must check for billing errors, damaged material, and packaging errors and reconcile as required.
4. Responsible for proper and safe storage of all finished stock.
5. Responsible for the accuracy of all inventory, in terms of part number and quantity of items picked on customer orders.
6. Responsible for picking product to fill customer orders safely and accurately.
7. Responsible for packaging the order in a manner that will provide protection from damage for the material during transit to the customer.
8. Must maintain inventory of cartons, pallets, and other supplies used.
9. Knows proper packing and shipping methods for all customers’ orders including export and government orders and small parcel orders.
10. Performs physical audits of Distribution Center inventory to document accuracy in terms of part number, quantity, storage location, and physical condition.
11. Coordinates and performs process to confirm and document return authorizations, recondition the material, and bill reconditioned returned material into finished goods inventory. Retains necessary files.
12. May be involved in both loading and unloading trailers at Distribution Center or outside warehouse.
14. Works under limited supervision.
13. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Skills:
High degree of accuracy due to volume of shipments and customer relationships
Must be able to operate scanning equipment and related computer functions
Must be able to safely operate all facility power material handling trucks
Must be able to move material from one trailer to another for purpose of consolidating loads for the most effective use of equipment and creates load manifests and bills of lading.
Performs clerical work as required
Must be skilled and licensed power truck driver
Extremely accurate and detail oriented
Other Requirements:
Knowledge of location of stock items in Distribution Center is required as well as knowledge of stock items themselves.
Depth and vision test required.
Must check each order for correct count and proper labeling, reporting all errors and/or damage to Supervisor.
Works closely with supervision on rush orders.
Responsible for good housekeeping.
Must be able to read product identification labels and comprehend computer generated instructions. Must be able to operate computer terminals mounted on power lift trucks and, also, desk top computer terminals.
Must be capable of complying with Company attendance policy.
General cleaning and housekeeping of building and grounds. General maintenance of building and grounds.
Required PPE: Ear Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes, and gloves all when required.
Handles materials using a hoist.
Must have a High School diploma or GED.
Must pass a drug screen.
Must pass an extensive background check.
