ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Manage activities of personnel to machine products and keep shop running smoothly

· Must have experience with both lathes and vertical machining centers as well as other support machines such as cut off saws, manual lathes, etc.

• Ability to use various inspection equipment and Measuring tools (Calipers, Micrometer, Dial indicator, Thread Gauges, etc.)

· Ensure that machined components meet quality requirements

· Manage bar stock inventories and place bulk purchase orders

· Assist in the selection of new CNC machining equipment

· Manage and order tooling and machining supplies

· Complete manufacturing or quality documents as required

• Responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing machine shop operations.
• Responsible for ensuring daily production commitments are met and compliant to all policies, procedures, and work instructions.

• Responsible for preparing technician and staff work schedules and ensure workers follow OSHA and all other safety rules.

· Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program, supervising machine techs with operating, maintaining, calibrating, and servicing machine shop equipment.

• Experience with operating, maintaining installing, calibrating, and servicing machine shop equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of computer aided design and computer manufacturing (CAD/CAM), Gibbs Cam and/or Fusion a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
