Home Improvement Loan Officer / Financing Coordinator
We are a growing remodeling and construction company seeking an experienced Home Improvement Loan Officer / Financing Coordinator to manage financing for residential remodeling, ADU, and energy-efficiency projects.
This is not a traditional banking or financial analyst position. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience originating and processing home improvement loans, contractor financing programs, unsecured lending, and home equity products, including lines of credit (HELOCs).
The ideal candidate understands how to guide homeowners through the financing process, communicate with lenders, obtain approvals quickly, and ensure funding is completed throughout the construction process.
This is a full-time, office-based position.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide homeowners through financing options for remodeling, ADU, and home improvement projects
- Submit and manage loan applications from start to funding
- Work directly with financing partners and lenders
- Collect and review borrower financial documentation
- Coordinate financing between clients, sales representatives, project managers, and lenders
- Monitor loan status, underwriting conditions, approvals, and funding timelines
- Assist clients with financing questions and loan structures
- Coordinate funding according to construction milestones
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and lender portals
- Resolve lender conditions and funding issues efficiently
- Ensure compliance with lender guidelines and company procedures
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Loan Officer, Loan Originator, or Home Improvement Financing Specialist is required
- Experience with home improvement financing programs
- Experience with Lines of Credit (HELOCs), unsecured home improvement loans, and residential financing
- Experience working with contractor financing platforms such as GoodLeap, Mosaic, Service Finance, EnerBank, GreenSky, Upgrade, or similar lenders
- Strong understanding of loan origination, processing, underwriting requirements, and funding procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously
- Experience using CRM systems, lender portals, and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Active or previous NMLS Loan Originator License (preferred)
- Experience financing residential remodeling, ADU, roofing, HVAC, solar, windows, insulation, or energy-efficient projects
- Experience working with contractors or construction companies
