Experienced Manufacturing Machine Operator

Position Overview

Available Shifts

• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for production at the start of each shift, including materials and documentation
• Set up and operate automated manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
• Configure and run multiple machines while maintaining high-quality standards
• Complete job setups independently, including mounting bracketry, sensors, glue heads, and cameras, as well as routing cables and glue lines
• Perform quality control checks to ensure product specifications are met
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on machinery
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Replenish consumable materials for subsequent shifts
• Meet production deadlines and performance targets
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Overtime may be available and required based on business needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency with computers and basic software systems
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment (e.g., inkjet, bindery, SmartPak, mail sorters, Kirk-Rudy machines) is a plus
• Background in digital printing or direct mail industry preferred
• Working knowledge of digital cameras, machine vision systems, optics, and illumination technologies
• Solid math and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and understand intermediate-level English
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and consistent attendance

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
