POSITION/TITLE: Director of TechnologyPROGRAM/LOCATION: North River Collaborative-All Locations(Almshouse-198 Spring Street in Rockland, MA)START DATE: August 24, 2026LENGTH OF POSITION: Full Year Position (260 Days-40 Hours/Week)SALARY RANGE: $80,000 to $105,000 per year (depending upon experience)QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related technology field3-5 years of experience integrating technology into an educational environment.Familiarity with MAC and PC computer networks and networking solutions, windows servers.Ability to address computer and network problems, diagnose repair or replace as needed.Familiarity with computer utilization in both PC and MAC formats, including education software, special education software, transportation systems and business applications.Familiarity with Internet access/utilization & telecommunications.Excellent organizational and administrative skills.Effective communication, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Familiarity with application, educational programs, and state reporting requirements including, but not limited to, MCAS, Esped, Google Workspace for Education, Office365, Adobe, EPIMS, SIMS, EmployeeForward Payroll, Accufund Business Applications, SonicWall Firewalls, SNAP, ETS Medicaid, Erate Reporting, Extreme Wifi Networks, Touchview Interactive Boards, Carbonite Cloud Vault backup & restore system are preferred.Experience in a public education setting is preferred.REPORTS TO: Executive DirectorSUPERVISES: Technology Support StaffEVALUATION: Staff evaluation will be implemented as outlined in the North River Collaborative Personnel Policies and Procedures Handbook.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordination, installation, supervision, and maintenance of all district technology applications.Supervision of installation and maintenance of all district technology hardware.Recommend changes to and enforce all district policies and procedures related to technology.Act as a liaison between support personnel and service providers.Provide instruction and ongoing technical support to administration and staff as needed in technology utilization, application, software programs, telecommunications, & Internet access, including but not limited to, Esped, navigate360, Office365, Google for Education, SNAP, Sonicwall, ExtremeWifi, Securly, Sophos, Teamviewer, LoginTC Radius Controller, VPN Systems, Esped, WordPress web design software, etc. Responsible for the required updating and submission of data to the state (EPIMS, SIMS, etc.) and maintain and ensure the accuracy of all data fields and variables.Maintenance an annual and up to date inventory of all district technology hardware, software, license agreements, subscriptions, and service contracts.Coordinate all technology, hardware and software purchases, subscriptions, licenses, and service contracts and develop and monitor budget and expendituresParticipate in MOEC technology directors job-alike meetings.Evaluate the district's overall computer educational and technical programs & formulate recommendations regarding potential technology acquisitions and/or upgrades. Prepare an annual budget for each program, schools and business offices. Perform/arrange for preventative maintenance on district computer equipment and maintain a preventative maintenance log.Maintenance of a daily log of network backups & software updates.Maintenance of the district's WordPress website as needed.Provide leadership with long range planning for all technology initiatives and complete a 3 year Technology Plan for North River Collaborative, as required.Represent the collaborative in maintaining a working relationship with the collaboratives member districts and their technology staff.

Provide user support for all business office systems, transportation software as well as all e-mail, file backups and storage.Manage the telecommunications systems and procedures and provide training to staff as needed.Administer and maintain the database for the collaboratives business office, schools and programs call notification system. Update and maintain the DESE's Directory Administration for North River.Collect and manage student and teacher data utilizing the district's information systems iPass, the DESE's EPIMS, SCS, SSDR, and provide reporting as required by DESE.Develop custom reports for staff as requested by members of the administration team, program coordinators, business office or transportation staff.SUPERVISION AND TRAININGSupervise and evaluate all technology support staff.Monitor and support the scheduling/implementation of periodic or daily duties.Direct interactions with vendors to ensure implementation.DOCUMENTATION, EVALUATION, AND COMMUNICATIONSubmit all written reports, goals and objectives on a timely basis.Participate in the requisition and purchasing process in a proactive manner so as to keep supply levels consistent and efficient.Provide input for the development of the program or district budget as requested.Abide by established work hours and follow policies and procedures outlined in the North River Collaborative Personnel Policies & Procedures Handbook.Communicate effectively with all programs and departments.Become familiar with all programs and departments while maintaining a presence for support.Engage in regular administrative team meetings and apprise the Executive Director of all activities and projects on an ongoing basis.HEALTH AND SAFETYEngage in the role in a culturally proficient manner.
