- Ability to communicate technical information effectively and professionally with team members and others in the work group, as well as employees in other business units, customers and suppliers
- Direct experience designing, developing, troubleshooting and introducing electrical and electronics components and systems in mobile applications
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in the automotive, construction, agricultural, aerospace/aviation or similar mobile equipment industry
- Experience with schematic development, maintenance and data systems for data management and releasing (EDS, Teamcenter)
- Hands-on practical technical experience and a good appreciation of associated vehicle sub-systems such as hydraulics, engines and transmissions
Electrical Engineer Overview:
The main function of an Electrical Engineer is to design, develop, test or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. A typical Electrical Engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting
- Evaluate the cost effectiveness, reliability and safety of certain design models
- Estimate time and cost to complete projects
- Simulate and test machine/structure/system operation
- Investigate and test vendors’ and competitors’ products
- Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering electrical engineering support to the product groups for use in current production and future machines
- The candidate will contribute to every stage of the new product introduction process including; requirements capture, specifications, FMEA, design, development, testing, validation and certification
- The candidate will work with project team leaders, supervisors, and peers in a variety of areas including engineering, manufacturing, assembly planning, and purchasing, releasing, engineering change control, scheduling and product field service support
- Additionally, the candidate will be working closely with sub-systems teams and systems integrators developing and maintaining machine electrical/electronic components and electrical systems through component selection. This includes designing component installations, routing harnesses, and developing / maintaining electrical schematics
- As part of the role the candidate will be interfacing with both internal and external suppliers as well as the other departments and potential product groups
Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
