We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team and lead our production operations to new heights.

Position Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for providing inspired leadership for production operations, order fulfillment, and shipping. This role involves making strategic decisions, developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, and working closely with all departments to optimize labor utilization and maximize production throughput, especially during our seasonal inventory build (Q4). The ideal candidate will be action-oriented, adept at solving real-time production challenges, and a great team builder.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and expand production capacity.
• Develop and execute robust production schedules to meet customer demand while maintaining inventory targets.
• Collaborate with department leads to optimize labor allocation based on current production needs.
• Identify production constraints and bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement changes in real-time to maximize output.
• Lead and support the entire production process, ensuring the highest quality of our caramel products.
• Make important policy and strategic decisions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to streamline production and shipping processes.
• Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
• React to the dynamic needs of the business by reallocating labor resources as necessary to meet production goals.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through the creation of a positive and productive work environment by motivating and developing associates.

Qualifications:

• HACCP and/or FSMA certification and experience working within these systems.
• Internal Auditor training.
• Strong understanding of GMPs and safety standards.
• Bachelors’ Degree in a related field.
• Five (5)+ years of experience in an operations management role in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
• Experience in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adjust to changing business needs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Action-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience with KPI development and monitoring.
