Summary:

Our Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stem Cell Biologist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing experiments related to stem cell biology, including stem cell culture, isolation, and characterization. This role is ideal for a scientist with a strong background in cellular and molecular biology and a passion for cutting-edge biomedical research.

Responsibilities:

• Isolate stem cells from different tissue types.
• Culture and maintain various stem cell lines under sterile conditions.
• Isolate, purify, and characterize exosomes and extracellular vesicles using standard protocols.
• Prepare stem cell-derived materials for use in laboratory products.
• Assist in the formulation of exosome-enriched therapeutic treatments.
• Conduct assays to evaluate product efficacy, including cell proliferation, migration, etc
• Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely laboratory records, protocols, and data reports.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant biosafety, ethical, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project milestones.
• Present findings in internal meetings, external conferences, or in publications, as appropriate.
• Stay current with relevant scientific literature and industry trends in stem cell and exosome technologies.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or Master's Degree in Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
• Commercial Development laboratory experience with a focus on stem cell culture and exosome isolation/characterization is required
• Proficiency in sterile cell culture techniques and microscopy.
• Familiarity with stem cell differentiation protocols and characterization methods.
• Strong aseptic technique and experience working in a sterile lab environment.
• Proficient in data collection and analysis using Excel and laboratory software
• Familiarity with regulatory and GMP requirements for stem cell-derived therapeutics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be comfortable working in a laboratory setting with exposure to biological samples and chemical reagents.
• Occasional lifting of lab equipment or materials up to 25 lbs may be required.
• May involve extended periods standing or using laboratory equipment.
• Must be able to work a full-time schedule (Monday-Friday) out of our Playa Vista office location

Pay:

• $95,000-$135,000 annually (based on experience)
