Overview
STG Windows, Doors & More is actively seeking dedicated and meticulous Window and Door Installers.
This position is particularly well-suited for individuals who possess a strong sense of pride in their craftsmanship, demonstrate an ability to meticulously follow detailed instructions, and are capable of working both efficiently and autonomously with minimal direct supervision.
Essential prerequisites for this role include a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, ensuring timely and consistent access to the job site. While English fluency is preferred for clear communication within the team and with clients, Spanish speakers are highly encouraged to apply, reflecting our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce that can effectively serve the local community.
Key Responsibilities
As a Window and Door Installer, your responsibilities will be diverse and impactful, encompassing the full lifecycle of installation and maintenance:
- Installation and Maintenance Expertise: You will be responsible for the precise installation, thorough servicing, and ongoing maintenance of a wide range of windows, doors, and related products. Projects will span both residential properties, enhancing homes with quality installations, and light commercial projects, contributing to the functionality and aesthetics of businesses.
- Adherence to Standards: Strict adherence to all company procedures, rigorous safety standards, and exacting quality requirements is paramount. This ensures not only the longevity and performance of our installations but also the safety of our team members and clients.
- Site Management and Cleanliness: You will maintain a consistently clean, organized, and efficient work area throughout every project. Furthermore, it is essential to ensure that all job sites are left in an immaculate condition upon completion, reflecting our commitment to professionalism and client satisfaction.
- Effective Communication: Clear, concise, and professional communication is vital. You will be expected to communicate effectively with field leads, providing updates and seeking guidance; as well as with other team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Brand Representation: You will act as a direct representative of STG Windows, Doors & More, upholding the company's reputation through your integrity, reliability, and respectful interactions with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
We are looking for individuals who bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, even if they don't have prior experience:
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience prefered but not required.
- Skills: Candidates must demonstrate strong attention to detail, a proven ability to meticulously follow directions, and a genuine willingness to learn and master new techniques and installation methods.
- Physical Requirements: This role requires physical endurance and capability. Applicants must be capable of safely lifting up to 75 lbs., standing for extended periods, and comfortably performing hands-on tasks, often in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
- Language: English proficiency is preferred for seamless team communication and client interaction. However, bilingual individuals (English/Spanish) are considered a significant asset, enhancing our ability to serve a broader community.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from various job sites within the southern Utah area is absolutely essential to ensure consistent attendance and project efficiency.
Compensation & Performance Structure
STG Windows, Doors & More offers a competitive compensation package and a clear performance structure designed to reward dedication and quality work:
- Hourly Rate: Compensation ranges from $18 to $25 per hour, with the specific rate determined based on the applicant's experience level and demonstrated performance during the initial evaluation period.
- Probationary Period: A 90-day probationary period will be in place for all new hires. This period serves as an opportunity for mutual assessment, focusing on performance quality, attendance reliability, and the consistent demonstration of craftsmanship.
- Pay Review: Compensation will be subject to review and potential adjustment based on consistent performance and demonstrated reliability throughout the duration of the project, ensuring that your contributions are recognized and rewarded.
