The Building Performance & Energy Assessor is responsible for performing facility condition assessments, energy audits, and building performance evaluations for commercial, institutional, municipal, and multifamily properties. This position combines traditional facility assessment services with energy and sustainability consulting, including ASHRAE energy audits, utility benchmarking, building performance analysis, and capital planning support. The Energy & Facility Assessor conducts field assessments, analyzes building systems, develops technical recommendations, and prepares comprehensive reports that help clients improve building performance, reduce operating costs, and support long-term capital and sustainability goals.
This job does not have specific supervisory responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
OR
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience performing facility assessments, energy audits, commissioning, building performance evaluations, or related technical consulting services in lieu of a degree.

Travel by Plane, Motor Vehicle, Train to client sites up to 50% of the time across the U.S. as indicated in the essential duties and responsibilities section.
