Role Purpose
ECE Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers support a calm, predictable classroom where children feel safe, accepted, seen, and capable. Those are NOT just words. These role are child-centered, hands-on, active, and focus on engaging with children, supporting routines, and following established classroom practices consistently.
These are not a passive roles. All Teachers are expected to be present, attentive, and involved throughout the day.
Core Responsibilities
Child Engagement & Supervision
- Actively engage with children during centers, play, transitions, and routines
- Sit with children during activities and support learning through interaction and play
- Help children use words, solve problems, and regulate emotions with adult guidance
- Maintain active supervision at all times
Classroom Support
- Follow the daily schedule and classroom routines as written
- Assist with center setup, cleanup, snack, rest, and transitions
- Support the students by staying with assigned groups or centers
- Keep the classroom safe, organized, and welcoming
Consistency & Follow-Through
- Carry out expectations the same way each day
- Reference written procedures and classroom plans daily
- Ask questions when unsure instead of guessing or changing routines too often
Team & Communication
- Work cooperatively with all classroom staff and leadership
- Accept feedback and coaching as part of growth
- Communicate concerns or observations to leadership
- Maintain professionalism with children, families, and coworkers
What This Role Is Not
- Not an observational role
- Not a role where children are redirected without support
- Not a role where expectations change day-to-day
- Not a role that relies on “trying hard” instead of following through

Experience in early childhood education is helpful but not required. Training and support are provided.
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
