SCS (Specialized Construction Services) is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on complex industrial electrical projects throughout the United States. While our corporate office is based in San Antonio, Texas, this is a full-time traveling position supporting projects nationwide.

Position Summary
The Industrial Electrical Superintendent is responsible for the complete field execution of assigned projects.
This individual serves as the on-site leader responsible for safety, quality, productivity, manpower, scheduling, customer relationships, subcontractor coordination, and successful project execution.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable coordinating with engineers and project managers, leading craft personnel, and communicating directly with owners.
Responsibilities
- Lead all field electrical construction activities from mobilization through commissioning for a project
- Develop and execute weekly and daily work plans
- Plan manpower requirements and crew assignments
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and safety
- Maintain production while ensuring quality and safety expectations are exceeded
- Coordinate outages, shutdowns, tie-ins, energization activities, and startup support
- Ensure installation complies with contract documents, specifications, NEC, NESC, OSHA, MSHA, and project standards
- Review drawings and identify conflicts before work begins
- Manage subcontractors and specialty contractors
- Maintain daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and productivity tracking
- Coordinate material deliveries and equipment requirements
- Identify changes in scope and communicate potential change orders immediately
- Participate in owner meetings and planning sessions
- Mentor foremen and develop future field leaders
- Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement

- Breakers and switchgear
- Protective relaying
- Ground grid installation
- Cable tray systems
- Underground duct banks
- Industrial MCCs
- Motor installations
- Instrumentation
- Fiber optic systems
- Industrial controls
- Conveyor systems
- Material handling facilities
- Mining operations
- Cement plants
- Power generation
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Data centers
- Commissioning and startup support
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years industrial electrical construction experience
- Minimum 3 years in a superintendent or lead foreman role
- Strong ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Experience managing crews of 20 to 100 electricians
- Strong scheduling and planning skills
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience using Autodesk, Vista, P6, Bluebeam, or similar software is preferred
- OSHA 30 required (or ability to obtain)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States, as this is a traveling position
