Job Summary
The Employment Specialist will empower adults of all abilities to strive to be positive, healthy, happy and be contributing members of society that build quality relationships, foster independence and meaningfully contribute to society. This requires a person-centered approach in delivering services to achieve positive outcomes for each participant. This role will primarily be responsible for service delivery and compliance.
Duties
· Support the achievement of participants’ personal outcomes.
· Engage participants receiving services in meeting expectations outlined by Employer
· Participate in ISP and team meetings.
· Provides assistance to the participants while at job site
· Assists with and provides guidance in the event of a crisis situation.
· Provide or assist with interpersonal skills that lead to a healthy work relationship
· Act as laison between Employer and SuperNova Services, reporting any issues with services, inventory, interactions to Program Coordinator
· Training of individual job skills to recipient while at work site. Noting skill mastery and deficiet
· Follows all support plans for each participant worked with.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Experience
· High school diploma and/or GED.
· At least six months’ experience providing services for individuals with an Intellectual Disability, Developmental Disability, Autism, or serious mental illness preferred.
