Macawber Engineering, Inc., a small but well-regarded international manufacturer with 45 years in business, is looking for a Controls Engineer to join a team that builds custom-engineered pneumatic conveying systems and other industrial equipment. This position includes customer service and requires occasional travel.

Flex schedule (2-hours)
Monday-Thursday 9-hour shift, Friday 4 hours.
Key responsibilities (not limited to):
Design customer-specific control systems (pneumatic and electric). Standard systems Allen Bradley with 5-20 I/Os. Familiarity with other PLCs is a plus.
Support equipment site commissioning and equipment service.
Participate in PLC/HMI projects to improve system performance and customer interface.
Prepare operating sequences and electro/pneumatic drawings.
Test and troubleshoot instrumentation and programmable logic controllers.
Provide technical after-sales support to existing customers
Other duties as assigned by the employer.
Qualifications
PLCs, HMIs, control systems/instrumentation, and control panel wiring.
Technical knowledge – fundamentals of basic electrical, controls, mechanics, and mathematics.
Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and thrive in a customer-focused environment.
Min 2 years of experience in controls programming and preferably experience in engineering technology, or similar.
Work location
Must be able to lift 50 lb and work in heights.
