Position: Physician Assistant / PA-C – Surgical First Assist (Mid Level) • Full-Time • Onsite – Scottsdale, AZ

Join Haus of Confidence as a Surgical First Assist PA-C and play a central role in delivering high-quality, patient-focused surgical care in our rapidly growing medspa. You will work side-by-side with our surgeons on awake liposuction, natural fat transfers and other minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, providing perioperative management, technical assistance in the OR, and compassionate patient counseling. Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary surgical first assist during aesthetic procedures (awake liposuction, fat transfer, laser resurfacing as applicable), ensuring sterile technique and efficient operative flow.

• Perform pre-operative assessments, obtain informed consent as delegated, and participate in surgical planning and intraoperative decision-making.

• Manage perioperative patient care including anesthesia support coordination, hemostasis, wound closure and immediate post-operative monitoring.

• Provide clear, compassionate post-operative instructions and follow-up care, identifying and escalating complications promptly.

• Maintain accurate procedure documentation in the electronic health record and assist with coding/billing-related procedure details.

• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff and practice leadership to continuously improve surgical protocols, safety checklists, and patient experience.

• Participate in staff training, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives to support practice growth and high standards of care.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and current certification as a PA-C (NCCPA).

• Active and unrestricted Arizona PA license or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start.

• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience with at least 1 year assisting in surgical procedures or demonstrated surgical first assist competency.

• Proficient in sterile technique, suturing, tissue handling, and perioperative patient management.

• Current BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire); ability to obtain DEA registration if applicable.

• Strong communication skills, professional bedside manner, and ability to thrive in a patient-centered, fast-paced aesthetic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in cosmetic/aesthetic surgery or medspa setting, including awake liposuction and fat grafting procedures.

• Formal surgical first assist certification or advanced suturing/technical procedure training.

• Familiarity with aesthetic treatment planning, injectables, and non-surgical adjunct therapies.

• Experience with electronic health records, procedure documentation, and basic coding for surgical services.

• Demonstrated interest in professional development, teaching, or leadership within a clinical team.
