Overview
The New Business Development Manager is a critical, high-impact growth leader and an integral member of the OSSPT Leadership Team. Responsible for accelerating nationwide B2B client acquisition and overall revenue expansion, the core mission of this role is twofold: to identify, qualify, and secure long-term, contracted service agreements with industrial, manufacturing, and high-risk employers across our growing multi-state footprint, and to manage, mentor, and maximize the performance of an additional New Business Development (NBD) team member.
With OSSPT currently delivering exceptional care across 15 states, this position blends direct corporate player-coach sales execution, national business travel, and strategic leadership team contributions. The ideal candidate possesses the consultative acumen to pitch financial ROI to C-suite executives, combined with the leadership capacity to foster accountability, drive regional expansion, and enforce CRM data hygiene across their team footprint. While leading direct sales and small-team operations, this role works in tight alignment with the Marketing team to turn brand assets and case studies into closed regional partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and industry analysis to expand our client base.
- Develop comprehensive strategic plans to target key markets, aligning sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Build and nurture relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster long-term collaborations.
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure new deals that benefit both the client and the company.
- Collaborate closely with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns that generate leads and increase brand awareness.
- Manage the sales pipeline using CRM software such as Salesforce, ensuring accurate tracking of prospects, activities, and outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients and successful implementation of solutions.
Client Engagement
- Actively expand OSSPT's revenue baseline through personal acquisition targets while uplifting team output. Target, source, and segment high-value employer prospect lists across 15 states. Execute and oversee disciplined, multi-channel automated outreach cadences (direct email, phone calls, professional networking). Conduct face-to-face discovery meetings and manage one direct NBD report through daily accountability metrics, pipeline coaching, and structured sales scripts to maximize collective conversion velocity.
- Drive organizational scaling and weave brand authority into the national sales cycle. Participate as an active voice on the OSSPT Leadership Team, contributing to financial forecasting, geographic expansion planning, and high-level strategy. - Generate assets (workers' comp cost-reduction data, case studies, and OSHA recordable reduction reports) into authoritative enterprise pitches.
- Source, research, and segment high-value employer prospect lists across our active 15-state footprint, optimizing for target verticals and regulatory risk categories.
- Execute consistent, disciplined, multi-channel outbound cadences (direct targeted email, phone outreach, and professional networking) to transform cold targets into qualified sales opportunities.
- Conduct thorough discovery meetings with prospective employer executives (CFOs, VP of HR, Safety Directors) to thoroughly diagnose their injury-management and workers' compensation cost challenges.
- Present tailored OSSPT on-site delivery models and secure initial service agreements, ensuring a flawless consultative sales process.
OSSPT Engagement
- Serve as a core member of the OSSPT Leadership Team, participating in key strategic planning sessions, organizational goal setting, and corporate execution initiatives.
- Develop a thorough understanding of OSSPT’s service offerings, including injury prevention, ergonomics, stretching programs, return-to-work programs, and pre-work options.
- Align departmental sales activities and growth targets with broader company expansion milestones, helping guide the business through multi-state scaling challenges.
- Provide executive-level reports on revenue forecasting, pipeline trajectory, and macro-level market feedback from the multi-state landscape during leadership touchpoints.
- Maintain a pristine, automated, and highly predictable national sales engine. Own and enforce absolute data discipline within the Odoo CRM system across all regional territories. Build, split-test, and scale automated activity cadences to reduce administrative friction for both you and your direct report. Oversee and execute flawless handoff protocols to regional clinical directors and physical therapists immediately following contract execution to guarantee seamless corporate onboarding.
- Collaborate systematically with the Marketing team to orchestrate, support, and execute targeted regional B2B campaigns.
- Own, update, and manage the complete sales pipeline within the Odoo CRM system with flawless data hygiene and attention to detail.
- Partner cleanly with internal clinical leadership and physical therapists to ensure a perfectly seamless account handoff and onboarding experience once contracts are finalized.
Personnel Management
- Manage, onboard, and coach one direct New Business Development representative to drive collective pipeline growth.
- Conduct weekly pipeline reviews and tactical alignment touchpoints with your direct report to track personal activity metrics and optimize individual prospecting behaviors.
- Enforce rigorous data hygiene, workflow timelines, and adherence to automated CRM outreach cadences within your direct report's daily task list.
- Lead regularly cadenced meetings with direct reports to discuss concerns, mentorship topics, training needs, etc.
- Lead quarterly conversations with direct reports and cascades relevant information to appropriate leadership.
- Lead the annual performance reviews of direct reports.
- Recognizes and rewards positive individual and team achievements.
- Support human resources in investigations as applicable.
- Support PTO requests and manages coverage plans for client assigned sites.
- Support on-boarding and off-boarding of OSSPT employees as applicable.
Job Requirements and Competencies
- Proven Track Record: 4+ years of professional B2B sales or business development experience operating as a dedicated, self-directed "hunter".
- Leadership & Management Capacity: 1+ years of experience leading or mentoring other sales professionals with a strong ability to drive accountability, coach performance, and actively contribute to an executive or leadership team environment.
- Multi-State Travel & Flexibility: Must be highly available and willing to travel overnight and out-of-state to engage with accounts and conduct prospective employer workplace facility safety tours across our 15-state service map.
- Industry Context: Previous experience selling into corporate wellness, industrial safety, risk management, workers' compensation insurance, or employer-based healthcare services is highly preferred.
- Executive Presence: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and copywriting skills; highly comfortable presenting technical financial models and risk-mitigation strategies to C-suite and VP-level executives.
- CRM Expertise: Strong technical comfort and functional proficiency utilizing modern CRM systems (specifically Odoo or equivalent platforms) to run automated activity cadences, manage pipelines, and pull data reports.
- High Accountability: Highly self-disciplined and motivated by a structured, numbers-driven environment that values scorecard visibility and personal ownership.
Incentive structure: Base pay plus commissions and bonus eligibility
Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
