General Description:

Founded more than 30 years ago, Centaurus Financial, Inc. is a full-service broker-dealer and registered investment adviser catering to the independent investment professional. We are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic securities trading associate to join our team. Among other responsibilities, the Securities Trading Associate will play a crucial role in taking telephone orders from our investment professionals and clients while subsequently entering such orders into a custodial trading platform. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, market knowledge and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment. This is a full-time role reporting to our brokerage operations leadership team.

Essential duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Taking equity, option, mutual fund and fixed income orders via telephone from our investment professionals and clients.
• Processing orders through an electronic trading platform.
• Performing daily reviews of all trade executions and any related exception reports.
• Providing white glove service and support to our independent investment professionals and clients.
• Assisting with compliance related inquiries, including, but not limited to, obtaining and providing trade related reporting and other documentation.
• Becoming a subject matter expert on all trade related technology platforms, including order entry, execution, surveillance and reporting, utilized by the firm.
• Handling other tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position):

Experience in the independent financial services channel.

• Experience with equity, option, mutual fund and fixed income trading.
• Experience with the BNY Pershing NetX360 platform a plus.
• Series 7 required. Series 24 a plus – required within 6 months of hire.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong technical knowledge and acumen.
• Strong typing proficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with a team and independently.
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, strong work ethic, flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively with other personnel/departments.
• Ability to multitask and perform various tasks with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to organize tasks, manage time, and prioritize.
• Interest in and a desire for a long-term career in financial services.

Centaurus Financial Inc. employs a total compensation approach when rewarding employees. This includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. The base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. Although bonuses are discretionary, Centaurus has paid a bonus every year in its 30-year history.

No relocation expense/reimbursement to this area is available.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
