The Bowery Mission is a Christian, faith-based organization committed since the 1870s to serving people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty. The Bowery Mission meets essential needs and creates transformative communities with men, women, children, and families in New York so that we can together overcome homelessness and poverty and flourish.
As key member of the TBM Program team, the Residential Manager, Community Life (Residential Manager) provides leadership that fosters a transformative and vibrant missional community. The Residential Manager lives onsite and works collaboratively with all departments supporting the campus to create a safe, welcoming, and trauma-informed environment that fosters relationships with God and others. Ensures a consistent standard of excellence in hospitality, physical safety, and program operations. Ensures adherence and clarity around Community Life Guidelines. Oversees room preparation, building/key access, and the cleaning/maintenance responsibilities of the missional community. Encourages/coaches residential alumnae to build upon their successes. Oversees Work Therapy assignments. Supervises and trains residential interns. Lead or co-lead meetings including Missional Community gatherings, residential alumnae groups/classes, and staff meetings. Hosts other visitors, special events, tours and leads tours. Provides on-call support. Provides timely reporting and recordkeeping according to TBM policy.
