We are seeking an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Intern to help evaluate, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions that support attorneys and professional staff.
Position Summary
The AI Intern will work closely with firm leadership, attorneys, and administrative teams to identify opportunities for artificial intelligence and automation within legal and business workflows. This role offers hands-on experience applying modern AI technologies—including large language models (LLMs), document intelligence, and workflow automation—to real-world legal operations.
This position is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in artificial intelligence, software development, legal technology, and professional services.
Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate emerging AI tools and platforms relevant to legal practice.
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept applications using AI technologies.
- Assist in building internal knowledge-management and document-search systems.
- Support implementation of AI-assisted document summarization, drafting, and review tools.
- Create and maintain AI workflows using APIs, automation platforms, and custom applications.
- Analyze business processes and recommend opportunities for automation.
- Assist with AI governance, security, privacy, and responsible-use initiatives.
- Document technical solutions and provide training materials for attorneys and staff.
- Monitor developments in generative AI and legal technology.

Qualifications
Required
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in:
- Computer Science
- Data Science
- Artificial Intelligence
- Software Engineering
- Information Systems
- Related technical field
- Experience with Python programming.
- Familiarity with large language models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Preferred
- Experience with:
- OpenAI, Anthropic, or other AI APIs
- Prompt engineering
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Vector databases
- FastAPI or web application development
