· Find and share stories that demonstrate the people, programs, values, and impact of IHC.
· Create graphics, short-form videos, photographs, and other digital content.
· Manage social media, email campaigns, website content, and IHC’s internal and public calendars.
· Maintain an organized editorial calendar and help plan communications in advance.
· Promote worship, holidays, educational programs, concerts, community events, and other engagement opportunities.
· Manage major communications projects, including High Holy Day materials, the Annual Report, brochures, concert programs, and congregational campaigns.
· Partner with the Executive Director and development leadership on annual giving, special campaigns, donor stewardship, grants, and other fundraising communications.
· Maintain a consistent and welcoming voice, visual identity, and message across all platforms.
· Track communication results and recommend ways to improve IHC’s reach and engagement.
What You Bring
· Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
· An eye for clear and appealing visual communication.
· Experience with social media, email-marketing platforms, website content-management systems, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video-editing tools, or similar platforms.
· Excellent organization and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
· Initiative, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit.
· Professional, internship, freelance, academic, or substantial volunteer experience in communications, marketing, journalism, design, or a related area.
· A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of Jewish traditions and congregational life is helpful but not required. IHC will provide the guidance and resources necessary to learn.
