We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable physician to join our team at Aloha Urgent Care & Pain Clinic ! You will focus on providing high quality, compassionate, and efficient medical care to visitors and local residents of Waikiki and Honolulu. Also, with a smaller patient volume (average of 5 yo 10 patients per shift) you will enjoy spending the extra and quality time with patients who really appreciates your care rather than rushing to see a large patient volume.

* Only physicians who hold the M.D. or D.O. degrees will be considered for this position at this time.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations
• Dispense or prescribe medications
• Administer PO, IM and IV medications or fluids
• Perform medical procedures such as wound care, incision / drainage, sutures, ear irrigation, peripheral IV insertion, cortisone injections for various pain conditions involving joints, muscle, and nerves, etc.
• Communicate diagnosis, treatment and follow-up plans clearly and thoroughly to patients before discharge
• Guide support staff to assist in the clinical and administrative duties for patient care
• Maintain patient medical records in either paper or electronic format

Qualifications:

• Active, valid Hawaii medical license
• Active, valid DEA license
• At least 1 year experience in urgent care center, emergency department, or primary care clinic
• High level of professionalism in interacting with patients and other staff as well as keeping a reliable work schedule
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach towards patient care.
