DO NOT INQUIRE IF YOU ARE NOT Competent in diagnosing and repairing diesel (Cummins) and hydraulic systems. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with engines and a good general knowledge of hydraulic systems. We have a fleet of garbage trucks and it’s a mix of in house work and emergency roadside work for only our trucks locally. Tools are supplied.
## Duties
- Maintain and repair diesel engines in various vehicles and equipment
- Utilize power tools to diagnose issues and perform repairs
- Conduct tire services including replacements and repairs
- Knowledge of HVAC systems in vehicles
- Welding experience for fabrication and repairs
- Ability to work on shocks, struts, and suspension components
- Familiarity with forklift maintenance and repair
- Troubleshoot and repair transmission issues
- Experience working with cranes is a plus
## Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship program
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
