Territory Sales Representative – Schools & Education

Wagner Portrait Group is seeking a relationship-driven Territory Sales Representative to support and grow our school partnerships throughout Central Illinois.
For more than 50 years, Wagner Portrait Group has partnered with schools through strong relationships, responsive service, and local support. We are a second-generation, family-owned company serving more than 1,000 schools throughout the Midwest.
This is not transactional sales. It is relationship-based territory management.
We are looking for a professional who can build trust, manage a territory with discipline, and grow business through consistent prospecting and long-term partnership development within the education community.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain relationships with school administrators and decision-makers
- Prospect and secure new school contracts through phone calls, email outreach, networking, and in-person visits
- Retain and strengthen existing accounts
- Conduct annual business reviews with current clients
- Maintain disciplined CRM activity and pipeline management
- Secure renewals and multi-year agreements
- Protect account profitability while operating within company standards
- Represent Wagner Portrait Group professionally throughout the territory
- This is a field-based role requiring regular travel and in-person visits with both current clients and prospective schools.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2-4 years of outside sales experience with prospecting and cold calling
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently
- Professional follow-up and time management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and relationships
- Professionals with backgrounds in school photography, yearbooks, fundraising, educational technology, curriculum sales, athletic equipment, promotional products, copier sales, uniform services, or other territory-based B2B sales often transition successfully into this role.
- Former educators, coaches, administrators, and school professionals looking to transition into relationship-based sales are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits
Most successful reps earn $90,000–$125,000+ within 24–36 months
- $50,000 base salary
