Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. The Line Cook/Prep Cook will work closely with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow and contribute to an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal dishes and monthly specials.
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and best practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including stoves, ovens, grills, and fryers.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
• Participate in catering events as needed, providing excellent service to guests.

Skills

• Proven experience in the food industry with a focus on culinary skills.
• Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus.
• Strong menu planning abilities with an understanding of fine dining standards.
• Proficient in food preparation techniques, including meal preparation and cooking methods.
• Excellent knife skills and knowledge of various cooking styles.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations.
• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, particularly in high-volume settings.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $19.50 - $22.00 per hour
