Full Job Description

Dunivin’s Towing Service, a leader in the towing industry and winners of 2014 and 2021 Service Provider of Excellence is seeking a skilled employee for Tow Truck Driver and Battery service position in San Juan Capistrano, California. Experience would be preferred but we are willing to train a qualified applicant.

Qualifications:

• Tow truck driver experience preferred but not necessary
• Must submit to and pass complete background and fingerprint check as per Company's contractual requirements
• Must be able to work weekends and any other shift that is needed
• Must be able to work various hours, including overtime

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, however other duties may be assigned.

• Respond to calls dispatched to you in a safe, timely manner.
• Provide roadside assistance in a safe, professional manner, free of accidents, injuries, and damages.
• Communications with dispatch shall be professional and informative as relates to information necessary to document your status in servicing a call as well as accurate ETA's when requested.
• Professionally and safely perform emergency roadside service duties as may be dispatched to you, such as, but not necessarily limited to:
• Changing flat tires or airing up tires that are just low on air.
• Deliver fuel to those out of gas.
• Perform minor roadside repairs, excluding highways.
• Perform lockout procedures for customers who have locked their keys in their vehicle.
• Perform damage-free towing.
• Perform accident towing and scene clean-up.
• Perform impounding and storage of vehicles through the Public Agencies.
• Jumpstart vehicles, Test batteries with AAA provided Battery testers and replace said battery according to the AAA battery service program.
• Daily inspect your truck for safety, organization and related equipment, tools and rigging inventory prior to beginning of the shift each day. Immediately report any tools or equipment damaged or missing for replacement.
• Safe driving behavior is a must. Obey all traffic laws, drive defensively, always wear your seat belt, remember our 4-second following rule, minimize backing and left turns.
• Trucks must be kept clean inside and out.
• Check all fluids (Oil, Transmission Fluid, Windshield Washer Fluid, Power steering fluid) each day prior to the start of your shift. Add if necessary.
• Maintaining the storage yard in a safe, clean, and orderly manner. Ensure that all trash must be properly disposed of and not left in the truck or on the ground. Secure the storage yard when leaving.
