This is a road-heavy, high-accountability sales role. You will be making cold calls. You will be walking into stores unannounced. You will spend meaningful time each week in the field — visiting buyers, attending food shows, and building relationships face-to-face across Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. What You'll Own
Sales & Business Development
- Hunt and close new wholesale and retail accounts for our beef snack, cooking tallow, and beauty tallow lines
- Build genuine, lasting relationships with buyers, distributors, and retail partners
- Conduct cold calls, in-store visits, sales presentations, and trade show appearances...regularly and without hesitation
- Develop sales materials and collaborate with the team on product launches and market strategy
- Own your numbers. Hit your goals. Repeat.
Operations & Distribution
- Partner with ownership to build and manage inventory, logistics, and fulfillment systems that scale
- Create cost-effective distribution and delivery processes that support profitable growth
- Track and report on sales performance, margins, and production costs with precision
You Are the Right Fit If...
- You have 4+ years of proven sales or business development experience, ideally in food, agriculture, or CPG — and you have the numbers to back it up
- Cold calling and in-person prospecting are your comfort zone, not your hesitation
- You are relentlessly self-motivated — you don't need to be managed, you need to be pointed in the right direction
- You hold yourself to a high standard and take it personally when you fall short of a goal
- You communicate with clarity and professionalism: in a boardroom, on a ranch, or at a trade show booth
- You solve problems instead of reporting them, and you find a way forward when the obvious path is blocked
- You're comfortable with approximately 50% travel: local, regional, and occasional longer trips for shows and customer visits
- You carry an entrepreneurial mindset and genuinely thrive in a lean, startup-style environment

- New accounts opened and products on shelves within the first 90 days
- Defined SMART sales goals met consistently, month over month

Compensation
$4,166.66/month base + commission, depending on experience. Travel reimbursement + performance-based bonus potential
