Job Overview
Former U.S. Presidential Candidate and local Veteran seeks enthusiastic and dedicated Volunteers to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while contributing to meaningful projects and building up your resume. Volunteers will have the opportunity to enhance their skills in communication, writing, and public relations while supporting our mission - to form a new Independent, non-partisan political party dubbed The New Government Of the People ( The New GOP). These are volunteer PT - non-paid roles. Training costs are covered. Also covered are admission tickets for a wide range of professional, social, and political engagements. Interns are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the administrative areas of running a podcast
- Fill roles inherent in a political organization such as: Campaign Manager, Administrative Officer, Personal Assistant, Human Resources, Moderator, Committee Secretary, Social Media Specialist, Web-site Designer, Co Chief Of Staff, Administrative Assistant, etc.
- Treasurer
- Provide assistance in areas such as audio-visual, administrative, logistical, operational, and security
- Handle calls and emails going to the organization
- Update organizational charts and internal rosters for the organization
- Work with fellow team members across the United States
- Promote the New GOP
- Represent the New GOP at galas and other social engagements
- Assist in the creation and distribution of press releases and marketing materials
- Engage in research activities to support ongoing projects and initiatives
- Participate in media relations efforts, including outreach and follow-up communications
- Help manage social media accounts by creating engaging content and monitoring interactions
- Support public speaking engagements by preparing materials and assisting speakers
- Proofread and edit various documents to ensure clarity and adherence to AP style guidelines
- Collaborate with team members on public relations strategies and campaigns
Experience
Ideal candidates should possess a strong foundation in communication skills, writing skills, and editing. Experience or coursework in journalism, marketing, or public relations is preferred. Familiarity with social media management, media relations, and public speaking will be beneficial. A passion for research and a keen eye for detail will help you thrive in this role. Previous work in a military, intelligence community, or political atmosphere is a plus! Open to candidates from ALL parties.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $0.01 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 4.0 per week
