Part-Time Ophthalmic Technician

Please Note: This is a part-time position only. The schedule is Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. No full-time hours are available.

Our busy and growing retina practice is seeking a motivated Part-Time Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. Prior ophthalmic or medical experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and enjoys working directly with patients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Obtain patient histories and accurately document information in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Perform preliminary ophthalmic testing, including visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and diagnostic imaging
• Assist physicians during clinic visits and procedures
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked exam rooms
• Deliver compassionate, professional patient care

Qualifications:

• Ophthalmic or medical experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and learn quickly
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Dependable, punctual, and professional

Schedule:

• Part-time only
• Mondays and Wednesdays
• 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• No additional days or full-time hours are available at this time.
