About the Team:
The Development and Communications Department works to support the organization through solicitation and stewardship of financial donations, and through internal and external communications, including marketing, advertising, branding, public relations, reputation management, and social media. Within the team are staff managing fundraising events, charity running teams, data integrity and gift processing, annual giving, volunteer leaders and community partnerships, social media channels, and Public Relations.
What You'll do:
The Event Specialist is responsible for coordinating all fundraising events for NECC, including our signature events – NECC Gala, NECC 5K Walk/Run for Autism, NECC Art Show, and the Dunkin’ Golf Classic.
Coordinate all logistics: negotiate vendor contracts, execute event plans, and manage purchasing.
Oversee the planning and execution of silent and live auctions, raffles, and other event-based fundraising activities, including item procurement, stewardship, and post-event fulfillment.
Draft and manage communications plans, including but not limited to invitations, internal and external communications and event updates, social media, general event attendee support, and acknowledgments.
