Position: Welder Starting from: $20 - $22 per hour
Status: Full-time - Non-exempt
7 AM - 4 PM, Monday - Friday
Job Description: A skilled Welder in a production environment is responsible for cutting, fabricating, and welding metal components using industry-standard techniques while adhering to strict safety and quality guidelines. This role plays a key part in ensuring product integrity, efficiency, and on-time production.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Interpret and follow technical drawings and specifications to complete projects accurately
· Perform MIG and TIG welding in accordance with established standards
· Follow verbal and written instructions to meet production requirements
· Operate tools and equipment such as saws, grinders, and CNC machinery
· Maintain equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
· Weld metal components with precision using manual welding equipment
· Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE (e.g., gloves, helmets, and protective footwear)
· Load and unload materials from machines, carts, dollies, pallets, racks, and shelves
· Safely operate power tools and other equipment as required
· Operate pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts to move materials and load/unload trucks or containers
· Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and material handling
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
· Frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds; repetitive lifting (100+ times per shift) may be required
· Perform physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
· Work in an environment with moving mechanical parts
· Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and high noise levels
Requirements:
· Formal training from a vocational or technical school and/or relevant welding certifications
· Minimum of 3 years of welding experience in a production environment
· Experience operating forklifts
· Proficiency in aluminum MIG welding (including brazing, soldering, wiring, and insulating)
· Willingness to work overtime as needed
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team
· Strong work ethic and commitment to producing high-quality work
