We are seeking a motivated, professional, and relationship-driven Job Developer / Business Relations Specialist to serve as the bridge between local businesses and talented individuals seeking community integrated employment.

The ideal candidate is confident, highly organized, and possesses a strong background in sales, corporate outreach, or business development and has at least one year experience working with adults with disabilities. You must be skilled at initiating first contact, navigating business structures, nurturing professional partnerships and closing of deals (IE; obtaining meaningful employment for individuals served). Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Employer Engagement & Relationship Building

• Conduct dedicated employer outreach through in-person visits, and consistent follow-up.
• Develop and maintain high-value, long-term relationships with clients, local businesses and community partners.
• Market employment services professionally and effectively, educating local employers on the immense value and best practices of hiring employees with diverse needs.
• Act as a trusted consultant to businesses, understanding their hiring needs to ensure successful, lasting matches.

Client Assessment & Job Placement

• Conduct in depth Client discoveries to understand the distinct skills, interests, and career aspirations of our clients.
• Develop individualized, strengths-based employment plans and provide targeted job-readiness training (resume writing, interview prep, workplace etiquette).
• Identify and secure specific job opportunities that align perfectly with client goals before finalizing placement.
• Assisting clients with completing job applications and follow- in person with business when application is submitted.
• Set up interviews and advocate for clients during the hiring process.

Retention & Account Management

• Provide ongoing communication, troubleshooting, and mentoring to both employers and hired individuals to ensure successful, long-term workforce integration and maintain business relationships.
• Collaborate closely with internal employment specialists, support teams, and community resources like DDA and DVR(Developmental Disabilities Administration)(Division of Vocational Rehabilitation).
• Creatively problem-solve employment barriers with a high level of professionalism.

Administrative & Operations

• Manage your own weekly schedule independently to satisfy hours assigned to you and each person served.
• Maintain meticulous, accurate, and timely records of client progress, case notes, services delivered, and time worked.
• Participate actively in scheduled staff meetings and complete all required organizational training.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for daily community outreach.
• Ability to satisfy a comprehensive background check
• First Aid and CPR certification (or the ability to secure it within 30 days of hire).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to work productively in the field.

Preferred Experience:

• Proven experience in Sales, Business Development or Recruiting. We find that individuals with a consultative sales mindset thrive in this role because they understand how to identify business needs, handle rejection professionally, and effectively "close" an opportunity.
• Experience in Job Development, Employment Services, or Human Services.
• Experience working directly with individuals with disabilities or navigating barriers to employment.

• Initial Phone Screening- Interview one
• Deciphering if you may be a good fit for those we support-Interview 2
• Employer Outreach Role-Play (to demonstrate your networking and sales approach)- Interview 3
• Situational Interview Questions- Interview 2 and 3
• Community Engagement Discussion- Interview 3
