MUD\WTR is a mushroom based coffee alternative brand with it’s flagship location, MUD\WTR :gather, in Santa Monica. This flagship location is a hybrid cafe/retail/events space and most importantly a place for our community to enjoy our beverages and like-minded intentional conversation. MUD\WTR’s purpose is to create healthy minds through healthy habits and this space is the physical embodiment of this purpose.

We are seeking hospitality-driven Part Time Baristas to take orders and make MUD\WTR beverages. This role will extend beyond simply making beverages to include retail purchases, class check ins, orders and customer satisfaction

The ideal candidate will take ownership as a liaison to the brand that can engage guests and guide them through the MUD\WTR experience.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests, taking orders, processing payments and making beverages
• Engage and educate our guest’s with a wealth of MUD\WTR product, preparation and benefits knowledge
• Master the consistency of MUD\WTR beverage preparation
• Be highly visible, proactive and personally involved with cafe and event operations
• Keep a clean, organized, stocked work area
• Keep and maintain the equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality
• Maintain compliance with labor and safety standards
• Communicate guest feedback with management
• Assist with checking in guests for various classes and events when applicable
• Knowledge of all retail products
• Keep a pulse on inventory levels and communicate needs to your manager

Details:

Shifts range from 6:30am-11pm. 7 Days a week. We are looking for 3-4 shifts per week. Weekend availability is a must.

• Starting Pay: $20/hr + tips
• Free classes hosted at MUD\WTR :gather
• Unlimited MUD\WTR from the counter, and to take home.

Required skills & experience:

• Experience in Barista, Bartending, or Food Preparation
• A passion for hospitality & providing great service
• Team player who enjoys working as part of a team
• Experience handling guest issues
• Organized and detail-oriented
• A passion for functional mushrooms and health conscious food & beverage
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a high demand, fast paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40lbs
