As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at LG Energy Solution, you will be assisting and supporting an Engineer in one of the three major battery-manufacturing departments. The specific learning objectives for the intern would be to learn general battery production process; understand battery materials – strength and composition; practical application of locking mechanisms and fasteners.
Responsibilities: At LGESMI you will working directly with our Manufacturing/Production Engineers and will be working on projects that include:
Work with engineers and operators to troubleshoot the machines on the production floor to ensure highest yield and Optimal Equipment Efficiency
Interface with team members in the plant and office, as well as external suppliers, contractors, etc.
Evaluate existing procedures and production methods for opportunities to improve quality and efficiency
Improve production processes by creating various standard operating procedures ensure understanding and correct implementation to floor
Develop procedures, forms, checklists, and schedules to support process development and improvement
Research new technologies, equipment, supplies to help improve the operation
Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering -Junior or Senior standing
Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 GPA or higher
Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
Ability to be flexible and adapt to new tasks and projects
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goals
