Eckerd Connects (Eckerd Youth Alternatives) is a national nonprofit organization headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, that has given much-needed second chances to more than 300,000 children, young adults and families since its founding by Jack and Ruth Eckerd in 1968. Eckerd Connects serves more than 40,000 people each year through life-changing child welfare, Job Corps, juvenile justice and workforce development programs in 22 states and the District of Columbia.

ServiceNet is a non-profit human service agency that provides essential services to people living with mental health challenges, developmental delay or disability, brain injury, homelessness, and other challenges. Each year, we serve more than 8,400 individuals throughout western Massachusetts. ServiceNet offers a comprehensive range of human services to individuals in western Massachusetts. Our programs include mental health services; adolescent support programs; early intervention for young children; rehabilitation and residential services for individuals with mental health conditions, intellectual and developmental disabilities (including autism), traumatic brain injuries, or substance use disorders; shelter and housing services for people experiencing homelessness; and more.

Mastery Schools

Mastery Schools is a system of 23 public charter schools in Philadelphia and Camden. We educate 14,000 students in grades K-12. Most of Mastery’s schools are neighborhood schools. We partner with families to create vibrant, joyful learning communities. Our goal is to meet the needs and support the dreams of every single student we educate. We pair high expectations with high support. We love our students and prioritize student achievement above all. At Mastery, we believe educational inequity is one of the most pressing social problems facing our country and the civil rights issue of our day. We disrupt systemic racism and the inequities that limit our students’ choices. We nurture a culture where all staff, students, and families are valued and respected.

KIPP New Jersey | Miami

KIPP has a 20-year track record of preparing students for success in college and life. One day our nation will know Newark, Camden, and Miami as cities of world-class public education. KIPP New Jersey | Miami schools are part of the nationally recognized “Knowledge Is Power Program” non-profit network of college-preparatory, free, public charter schools educating elementary, middle, and high school students. In 2002, KIPP New Jersey first opened its doors in Newark’s South Ward as a single class of 80 fifth graders and has since grown to serve over 5,800 students in grades K-12 in Newark and Camden. More than 90% of KIPP New Jersey students currently qualify for free or reduced meals. And in August 2018, KIPP New Jersey founded free, public, open-enrollment charter schools in Miami’s Liberty City and West Little River neighborhoods, becoming KIPP New Jersey | Miami. In the next few years, KIPP New Jersey | Miami will have 15 schools in Newark, 10 in Camden, and 4 in Miami. By offering highly effective educators with strong bonds to families, more time in school learning, services that support a variety of student needs, and a culture focused on achievement, our students succeed on their way to and through college.
