Pros

I joined Affinity recently and have felt very supported by my manager and the company as a whole. The people are so welcoming and really care about doing good work while always improving. This is a great environment that encourages me to keep learning and growing.

Cons

The only con is that the office is in SF, which makes the commute a bit challenging for me, as I do not live in the city

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're so glad you've felt supported and welcomed since joining Affinity. Creating an environment where people can learn, grow, and do their best work is at the heart of our culture. We appreciate your feedback on your commute. To support the commute to the office, we do provide a $250 monthly commuter benefit for hub-based employees and maintain a flexible hybrid schedule. We're also always open to feedback on how we can better support the team. Thank you for being part of the Affinity team. We're excited to continue supporting your growth and development here.

Pros

Nice and friendly colleagues, RRSP and 401K matching program.

Cons

Leaders play favourites, say one thing do another, do not show appreciation for the work you've done and has set up the customer success function to run like sales and in silo from the rest of the company. The perks like meals are reimbursed yet finance got it wrong and communicate employees must pay income tax on it. This is after a year of receiving the perk! - only to say later we will figure this out for our employees going forward.

We’re sorry to hear you’ve had a negative experience at Affinity. We do try to ensure everyone is treated fairly, challenged, and has a constructive relationship with their manager which includes regular feedback, but sometimes we might get it wrong. We’re also growing quickly, which means we often need to update our policies and practices. We try to err on the side of favorability to the employees, which we did for our recent perk update (grossing up our perk allowance to offset the tax burden). Your feedback is important and we want to use this as a learning opportunity to help make it better for you. If you feel comfortable doing so, please reach out to the People team through our internal email address and we can help with your concerns. We really would like to help improve your experience.
