Pros

As a current employee, I am proud to be part of a company that is truly dedicated to advancing spine care and improving patient outcomes. The level of innovation, collaboration, and commitment to quality here is impressive. Our team works hard to develop technologies that support surgeons and ultimately help patients. One of the things I value most is the culture. Leadership encourages collaboration, professional growth, and continuous improvement.

Cons

The company is growing quickly, which means processes are still evolving

Pros

I recommend Altus Spine to anyone who takes pride in their work, doubly so for those with an entrepreneurial spirit. There aren't many places where you can find a small business setting within a world-class facility. The company has a very strong foundation. The owner is goal and business-oriented which translates into a working environment that is very open to improvement opportunities. Yes, it is often fast-paced and requires flexibility, but the individual is still provided the freedom to explore alternative paths to success and help shape and improve processes. I have worked for Fortune 500 & 1000 companies for the majority of my career; although I've been blessed to work with great organizations, I have often felt like a cog in the wheel. Not at Altus Spine. Every single team member is a linchpin to daily operations and you're never more than one good idea away from helping to shape decisions and processes. Altus Spine's leadership believes in mutual growth. If you can demonstrate that your competency and achievements contribute to the company's improvement, then you'll be rewarded. The company is actively pursuing entrance into the global market. If that sounds exciting to you then there is no better time to join the team.

Cons

No significant cons that aren't shared by the industry. Altus Spine engineers and sells Medical Devices which means that the facility and work areas (including desks) must remain clean and highly organized. This is a big "pro" for anyone familiar with the industry (the facility is always audit and tour-ready), but those new to pharma or medical devices may suffer initially from culture shock. Cleanliness and organization are necessary to realize Altus Spine's commitment to quality.

Great Place To Work So Far!

Pros

Recently moved to this company from a much larger but similar company and am impressed with how much is accomplished here with a much smaller pool of people doing the work. This is a family-run company and the CEO is here every day and seen everywhere in the building. Recently, to celebrate a great month for the company, the CEO announced a generous bonus to everyone's pay and had a food truck bring in lunch (no small feat for a three-shifts-a-day company) and the CEO and his family sat and ate with the staff. This is a rapidly growing company and I am looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Cons

Due to the rapid growth, short-staffed at times, but I see the recruiters working relentlessly to address this issue.

Altus Spine is a great place to work for all the reasons stated and so much more. And thank you for recognizing all the things that the CEO and leadership try and do for all the employees. Bonuses and food trucks are obvious first choices for anyone, but the note about the role of ownership and their availability is an added enhancement not found in other companies. We do recognize that recruiting is a challenge throughout the economy, but we will never stop looking for the very best people and do whatever it takes to keep them on our team.
