Pros
The decisions made at Arsenal are purely based on science generated by some of the brightest people I have ever worked with. There is an emphasis on large screens, which generates huge data sets to be able to identify top candidates with high confidence. So far, the decisions made are never about "who is proposing them" or any political nonsense like that, it is solely what is the data that supports this. This is a refreshing break from other biotechs I have worked at that make decisions based off of who is their favorite person or other political means.
Leadership is very friendly and approachable. They make an effort to meet and speak with everyone, not just the top ranks, and foster a sense of community within the company. They fight hard to fundraise for the company and are very transparent with where we are and where we are going. They enact decisions that massively benefit the everyday worker: lunch for onsite workers, two days off every quarter, unlimited PTO (that is actually advised to be taken), flexible work schedule (ie remote, hybrid, etc). So far, this is the only company I've worked at where it feels like they mean it when they say "we care about you". They follow these words up with actions that make working here very enjoyable.
Cons
At fast moving biotech, often the questions being asked and goals can shift quickly. Make sure that we keep an eye on the specific question we are trying to answer and make that clear from high level leadership down to the associates.
Relatively poor 401k matching, but to be expected at smaller company.
